FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
(or "A Fascinating Dialog With The Authors")

Who do I contact if my question is not answered on this page?
Send an e-mail to reminders @ sitefoundry . com.

What is this thing?
Have you ever forgotten an anniversary? a dentist appointment? a mortgage payment? You do not have to worry about it any more -- just enter your reminders here and we will send you an email whenever you want.

What's the catch?
No catch. Really. When we say "private" and "free" we mean what you would like us to mean, not what some marketing-school graduate would try to have you believe.
You do not even need to sign up for an account, although it is also free (yes, really free) and it gives you a few extra features.

So what's in it for you?
Traffic. Name recognition. Free advertising for our website development business.

Will you sell or distribute my name or email address?
We don't even ask for your name. And no, we will never sell or rent or distribute or publish or disseminate or advertise or post or release or even think about your email address. You will get no junk mail as a result of using this service.
To put that another way, the only emails you will ever get from us are the ones you send yourself! (Except for occasional administrative messages related to your rE-minders! account, of course.)

What's that on the front page about "reasonably secure"?
No computer system is ever totally secure, and anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. Wait -- that is not completely accurate. The new 300 MHz G3 PowerMac sitting in a box in your trunk is secure, because you haven't yet plugged it in.
Our point is that we take significant precautions to protect your privacy and your data. That's all.
For example, non-members can only schedule 1 reminder per day. This prevents spammers from abusing our service. Of course, there isn't anything to prevent a spammer from creating a free account and then abusing our service, but since we are better able to identify members, we can take appropriate action.

Who is the Site Foundry, anyway?
The Site Foundry is a developer of dynamic, intelligent websites. We are experts at making websites that think. The principal developer is a nice guy named matt mcglynn, who you'd like if you got to know him. Really. Read on for more tantalizing marketing copy written in 1999.
We can take your site to the next level: make it smarter, so it shows appropriate content based on audience, time of day, or whatever criteria you define... make it searchable, so your users can find what they are looking for quickly... make it show up higher in the search engines, to increase your traffic... add commerce, so the site generates revenue rather than consumes it... We do this stuff every day. For more information see www.sitefoundry.com.

Enough with the pitch! How do I use the "rE-minders!" service?
The menu appears at the top of this page. Click "Add" to quickly add a reminder, or "Members" to sign up for an account.
